Recording Servers: Device Parameters

This page describes the device parameters and options to configure them.

Overview

To access the parameters, select the required device in the Recording Servers item:

The device parameters are organized into the following tabs:

  • The switching between tabs is available by clicking on their names.
  • The selected tab is always highlighted.

Info Tab

The Info tab allows to:

  • View the device ID
  • View the device name and edit it by clicking the Edit icon
  • View the device description and edit it by clicking the Edit icon
  • View the device's technical parameters:
    • Model
    • Serial number
    • Firmware version
    • UUID
    • Driver
    • IP address
    • MAC address
  • View the date the device was added to the system
  • View the device location:
    • Location address
    • Coordinates: Latitude and longitude
    • Location on the map
  • To view the Edit icon, hover the mouse over the required field.
  • The device location address dynamically changes based on latitude and longitude values, as well as the position of the marker on the map. To update the address, either enter the coordinates manually or hold and drag the marker on the map to the desired location.

Settings Tab

The availability and content of the Settings tab depends on the driver of the selected device:

  • RTSP driver
The Settings tab is only available for devices with the listed driver types.

The Settings tab for the device with the RTSP driver allows managing the device's cameras:

  • Enter the camera name or characters in the name in the Search field to filter cameras
  • Click the Add Camera button to add a camera to the table. In the Add Camera pop-up window:
    1. Enter the custom camera name
    2. Enter the path to the desired camera stream
    3. Click the Confirm button to save the camera settings
  • View all added camera names and paths to their streams in the table
  • Click the Edit icon in the required camera row to edit the camera name or path to its stream
  • Cameras cannot be deleted from the table.
  • If the selected device has multiple camera streams, they all can be added to the table as separate cameras.
  • All cameras added to the table are available as separate camera device items under the selected device. To learn more about configuring camera parameters, refer to the Cameras Parameters documentation.
